What is it? –
A Labyrinth is a metaphor for life’s journey to the center of the deepest part of the self and back out into the world with an expanded understanding of Who You Really Are. It’s a great sacred space and place to That Which is Within and shifts the ego out.
The Path –
Life is a sacred journey learning to feel and see more clearly. It’s about enhancing one’s Heart and continuously expanding what is Wanted. Life experience is about listening to intuition (guidance system) and enjoying every step of the way with all the contrasts that comes with it.
In so many ways, the Labyrinth is like Life. They both hold memories of life experiences and they each have a center point of Attraction along with their countless twists and turns causing a bit of chaos in the moment. They can be at the heart of one’s life, or at a playful turn, or have the desire to share with others or maybe not. No matter what, the Labyrinth and Life are set up to be followed with ease and flow.
When walking the Labyrinth there are short and long curves to go around. Sometimes they are out on the edge or circling around in the center. There are no clear visuals of where it’s going which may feel a bit weird at times which may cause conflicting feelings and thoughts.
While following the paths of the Labyrinth and Life one may either move forward with confidence, creep along cautiously, stop to reflect, or simply retreat.

Labyrinth and Mazes –
Labyrinths and Mazes have often been confused as the same thing.
A Maze – is like a puzzle to be solved with twists, turns, and blind alleys. A Maze is a left brain task that requires logical, sequential, and analytical activity to find the correct path into it and back out. With a Maze many decisions need to be made and a methodical mind is required to find the center.
A Labyrinth – is a path of experiential meaning. There is only one path and it’s unicursal; the way in is the way out with no blind alleys. It’s a roundabout path to the center and back out again. (unicursal~relating to a curve or surface that is closed and can be drawn in a single movement.)
A Labyrinth is a right brain task. It involves intuition, creativity, and imagination. A desire to receive and accept is the best mindset for this path. With a Labyrinth there is only one choice to be made: The choice is to enter or not.
The Result –
This amazing path of the Labyrinth is a Life story of Magnificent Beauty, Wisdom, Triumph, Power, Fun and a lot of Love.
